Volunteer for Ngarenaro Vocational Training Center in Tanzania
Ngarenaro Vocational Training Centers goal is to train young ladies on Sewing, Cookery and English Language as a means to boost up their capacity to be able to generate income throough self employment. This placement needs volunteer to be able to shate new experience and ideas with students. Volunteers must be of age 26 or above with minimum education of high school. This placement does not need any volunteers in the month of Jun and Dec. Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement:- Teaching Skills sports Vocational training Volunteers can assist by doing following tasks:- Teaching classes of about 30 students(30students during normal classes and minimum of 15students during class practical with age groups ranging from 14 to 20years old.) Sports training Placement Location Arusha city (2002 est. pop. 270,000 now estimated at 1.6 Million). It is an industrial and administrative center. Manufactures include textiles, beverages, processed foods, plastics, and electronic equipment. In Jan., 1967, President Julius Nyerere of Tanzania issued the influential Arusha Declaration, which called for socialism, hard work, and self-reliance in Tanzania. Arusha is also the site of an institute devoted to research in tropical pesticides. It is also well known as an African congress centre and the International Tribunal for the Rwandese genocide.
